This little circus monkey is one year old Althea, if you’re looking for a cat to totally rock your world and keep you laughing 24/7, Althea is your girl!
Perfectly pocket-sized, Althea is going to blast her way into your life like no other - Loud and proud, the world is Althea’s oyster and we’re all just living in it! Althea isn’t afraid to demand snuggles and insist on being scooped into your arms, and she hopes that you’re going to cradle her as often as possible, because she loves to be safe and sound in your grasp.
Althea loves to tap dance across desks and counters, stick her nose into the sink, and climb into cabinets as frequently as possible. This little thing has zero fear of heights, or pretty much anything - With her brave and bold personality, it’s no surprise that Althea has never met somebody she doesn’t love!
Althea gets along with other cats for the most part, but she is VERY outgoing and can be too much for a cat who is more shy. If Althea has a playmate, they better be ready to wrestle and race!
Something to know about Althea is that when she was a baby, she had very severe, untreated diarrhea for the first months of her life prior to being rescued. Although the diarrhea has resolved, she sometimes experiences a minor rectal prolapse from the previous strain - This happens when she gets very excited or if she sneezes too hard and it goes back to normal by itself. Although it looks unusual, Althea is just as happy as any other kitty and goes about her business just fine. Althea does best on a gastro-friendly, high fiber diet to keep her digestive tract happy.
